Tom is co-owner of Wish Dental and a local resident of Poynton. Originally from Swansea, he’s a proud supporter of Welsh Rugby Union.
Coming from a strong community background, it has always been Tom’s dream to own a practice in the village he lives. He has three sons: Ralphie, and twin baby boys, Eddie and Hughie!
Tom attained his dentistry degree at Manchester University where he won the Edgar Houghton Award for his restorative work. This has continued to be a special interest to him and he is currently working towards his Masters in Restorative Dentistry. He also holds certificates in Implant Dentistry and Facial Aesthetics and has a vast knowledge of adult cosmetically-focused orthodontics (braces for adults).
Tom has performed numerous cosmetic procedures, using high-quality veneers and white filling composite to sculpt, design & repair broken and unsightly teeth. This is just one of many ways that Tom gives his patients huge amounts of confidence to smile again. Tom believes in minimally invasive dentistry and can discuss how to get the best smile results with the least amount of drilling.
Tom also has a keen interest in dermal fillers and ‘botox’ treatment for excessive sweating, wrinkle reduction and non-surgical face lifts.
Tom spent some time in Cambodia working for the one2one charity (one2oneworld.org – please donate.) Here he donated his time and skills helping underprivileged children and adults to get much needed dental treatment.
Tom loves to spend his spare time with his wife Jenni, young son Ralphie and two dogs (Biggi and Beau). Tom played rugby to a high standard and would love to still play but now sticks to golf, squash, cycling and the odd ski trip which are kinder to his hands. He has done the world’s highest bungee jump and a skydive and lives to tell the tale.
Tom has a real passion for getting to know his patients. He has a special interest in the treatment of patients with disabilities and special requirements. You can trust Tom to treat you like a member of his own family and he “wishes” you won’t want to go anywhere else for your dental & aesthetic care.
